RESTON, Virginia, September 27, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Leidos’ partnership for Defense Health today announced that it has successfully delivered the MHS GENESIS electronic health record to an additional 4,800 clinicians and other providers as part of its latest Wave deployment at 130 sites in Hawaii.

The Leidos Partnership for Defense Health (LPDH) developed MHS GENESIS, the new electronic health record (EHR) of the military health system, and provides program management and technical expertise to the Defense Healthcare Management program executive office. Systems (PEO DHMS) since 2015. MHS GENESIS is currently operational and operational in over 1,000 sites with approximately 65,000 active users in total.

MHS GENESIS is deployed across the continent United States and overseas through a total of 23 waves. Each wave will target a specific region over a year, with an average of three hospitals and many physical locations for each wave. This approach allows the DOD to take full advantage of lessons learned from previous waves to maximize the effectiveness of subsequent waves. Full deployment of MHS GENESIS is expected by the end of calendar year 2023.
